Executive Director

Julie is responsiblefor the day-to-day operations and resident engagement. She believes it’s an incredible honor to enrich the lives of residents, comfort them when needed, and help them age with joy and dignity. That’s why she lives by the motto "Always stay humble and kind" and has put those words into practice for 15 years. Originally from Phoenix, Arizona, outside of work she enjoys spending time in the mountains taking her daughter hiking, fishing, and camping. She also enjoys a good BBQ with friends and game nights.

Director of Sales & Marketing

Born and raised in Huntsville, Alabama, Monica’s responsible for spreading the word about the community and bringing in new residents. Her daily routine includes conducting tours, maintaining professional relationships within the city and surrounding areas, ensuring residents and families are satisfied with their decision to move to MGM, and hosting events that bring people in to see the beautiful community.An industry veteran of 20 years, outside of work she loves spending time with her two children, being outdoors as much as possible, and enjoying some hip-hop Zumba.

Director of Life Enrichment

Alexis’ focus is on the one thing everyone enjoys: fun. She spends her days creating enjoyment for all residents through parties and other fun events. It’s something she has done in one role or another for almost 20 years, and she’s always coming up with new and creative activities for everyone to enjoy. The self-proclaimed army brat spent most of her life in Germany and Texas before landing in Alabama. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family, swimming, baking, road trips, travel, research and iced coffee.

Director of Memory Care

Jaden acts as an advocate for all residents, families, and staff members. He brings over 10 years of experience and can be found performing assessments and trainings while engaging everyone to maximize resident safety and satisfaction. The most enjoyable and rewarding part of his job is spending quality time with residents and their families. Jaden was born and raised in Pulaski, Tennessee. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, riding horses and ATVs, playing instruments, and singing.

Executive Chef

“Good, Better, Best, never let it rest until your good is your better and your better is your best” is the motto that has driven Keith for over 10 years. He loves cooking and is passionate about the food that he and his team are producing for residents. That’s why on top of directing, coaching, leading and training the dining team to make wonderful meals, he makes sure that all nutritional guidelines and safety protocols are followed. Originally from Hartselle, Alabama, the diehard University of Alabama fan loves screaming “Roll Tide!” outside of work and spending time with his family.

Director of Maintenance

Wayne gets satisfaction from servicing both the residents and staff of Monark Grove Madison. With over 40 years of experience in his field, he can be found doing monthly inspections on elevators, emergency exit lights, fire extinguishers, and more. He also checks vacant units for lease status, supervises housekeeping and maintenance staff, and meets with contractors. Outside of work, he enjoys being a servant leader of his church, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren. He’s originally from Montgomery, Alabama but has lived in Huntsville on and off since 1961.

Executive Vice President, Senior Living

Born and raised in Flint, Jason Kohler has worked in Senior Living and adjacent industries for over 18 years. Since 2003, he has been involved in nearly every facet of senior care, including Independent and Assisted Living, Memory Care, and more. Jason’s prior experience in the Hospitality industry was incredibly helpful when refocusing his career on Senior Living. In his current role, his day-to-day involvement at the community primarily involves helping to support the work that happens in the field, spending quality time in the communities whenever possible. Jason is energized by serving others and loves making a resident’s day whenever and however he can. Outside of work, he plays competitive billiards and also enjoys snowboarding, working out, and spending time with family and friends. His guiding principle is “Take care of your associates. In turn, they will take good care of the residents, and the rest will take care of itself.” A quote that inspires him is, “Whether you think you can, or think you cannot, you’re right.”  - Henry Ford

Senior Vice President of Operations, Senior Living Division

Originally from Lancaster, PA, Adam Snyder has been involved in Senior Living since 2003. He now oversees the day-to-day operations for all Beztak Senior Living communities. Adam enjoys interacting with people every day and helping brighten lives. He has a passion for tackling issues and finds brainstorming and implementing new solutions very rewarding. Outside of work, Adam loves attending his kids’ sporting events, golfing, hiking, and fishing. 

Team member Colette at Monark Grove Madison in Madison, Alabama

Colette Belcourt

Regional Director of Operations, Senior Living

With 8 years of experience in senior living, Colette’s focus is on providing leadership oversight for day-to-day operations at the community level, as well as regional oversight of all operations for the Monark Grove sites. With regard to her role within the Monark Grove family of communities, she says, “I love seeing the positive impact our work has within the senior living environment, providing a luxury product to our senior residents, and knowing they thrive in our care.” In terms of her leadership role within the Monark Grove team, Colette believes in cultivating a positive and productive working environment that drives the communities towards excellence, while treating team members with dignity, respect, and appreciation for their contribution. Born in Fowlerville, she spent her college years in Kalamazoo, and now resides in Lake Orion. Married with 3 children and a golden retriever, outside of work Colette enjoys long distance running, reading books, baking, listening to true crime podcasts, watching her children play sports, and spending time with family.

Corporate Director of Food and Beverage, Senior Division

Daniel Novak, a native Detroiter, has been working in management, food service, and senior living for over 20 years. His day-to-day responsibilities include working with our culinary teams developing dining programs, setting and maintaining standards, verifying food safety compliance and ensuring quality. Dan treats each day as an opportunity to exceed our residents expectations by creating a spectacular dining experience from start to finish inclusive of food, ambiance, décor and service. When not at work, he enjoys cooking for family and friends, dining out trying new restaurants, and fishing and spending time at his cottage in Northern Michigan.

Director of Artistic and Intellectual Planning

Originally from Washington D.C.,  Natalie brings over ten years’ experience in performing arts, nonprofit administration, and arts conference programming and producing to her role. As Director of Artistic and Intellectual Planning, she is responsible for curating and overseeing the artistic and educational programs. More specifically, Natalie actively conceptualizes, develops, maintains, and controls the vision, venue, and content that shapes the artistic, educational, and cultural programs of the senior living communities. Natalie believes there’s no better feeling than witnessing a room of strangers form an innate bond because of a shared art experience. When not working, she enjoys travel, exploring the outdoors, writing, and seeing as many new performers as she can. A quote that inspires her is “The purpose of art is to lay bare the questions that have been hidden by the answers.” -James Baldwin

Director of Clinical Compliance

As Director of Clinical Compliance, Erica puts her 28 years of experience in senior living, including 16 as Director of Nursing at a skilled care/assisted living facility, to work ensuring that care provided meets the highest possible standard for our residents. Erica conveys that she loves being able to bring compassion and empathy to the lives of those who she says have, “laid the groundwork for us.” Over the course of her work, she says, she has learned, “People will forget what you said, they will forget what you did, …but they will never forget how you made them feel.” Erica’s top priority is to foster an atmosphere in which every member of the team knows their contribution is valued. After all, a great team is the foundation of great care! Originally from Detroit, Erica loves to cook and bake for family gatherings. When she has time, she also loves scouring bookstore shelves for the next great mystery novel!
